The purpose of Circle of Friends is to provide a safe, fun, Christ-centered, inclusive atmosphere for individuals with special needs while allowing their parents and caregivers the ability to worship and fellowship without worry.
Here at Valley View, we consider it a great honor and privilege to minister to and serve you and your family. Circle of Friends provides a one-on-one buddy to accompany your loved one with special needs. The buddy will accompany your loved one to his or her scheduled church services, classes, or activities. Our goal is to provide parents, caregivers, and guardians the opportunity to attend worship and Bible study, while knowing their child is included and his or her needs are being met.
Amanda's background and passion is found in working with individuals with special needs and allowing their abilities to be seen by all. Before becoming COF Director, Amanda worked in the ABA field as a therapist. For enrollment or volunteer information, please contact Amanda and she would be happy to get you connected!
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs. We are blessed to be a part of this growing worldwide movement through the local church where thousands of people with special needs will be celebrated and reminded of God’s love for them! #NightToShine
From the Tim Tebow Foundation:
In 2015, the first Night to Shine was held in 44 churches in 26 states and in 3 countries with 15,000 volunteers coming together to honor 7,000 guests… and we thought that was a God-sized blessing! This past year God did immeasurably more than we could have asked or imagined, as 655 churches from 35 different denominations in 50 states and 24 countries came together with 200,000 volunteers to serve and celebrate 100,000 honored guests with special needs! We are so humbled to see what God is doing through this worldwide movement. It is truly amazing to see what happens when you tell 100,000 Kings and Queens of the prom that God LOVES them and has a special plan for their life!
Stay tuned for more information about next year's Night to Shine!
