Monthly Missions Spotlight: Hillcrest High

Each month we are highlighting a VVBC local or global mission point. We encourage our church family to find a place to serve, invest and support.

Hillcrest High is one of 7 local schools we have adopted to provide teacher encouragement, supplies, special projects and other support throughout the school year. Our Hillcrest High Coordinators are Susan Tisdale and Amy Hydrick.

If you would like to join the Hillcrest High Team, scroll down to the Community Outreach Volunteer Form and choose “Hillcrest High School”. Susan or Amy will contact you about how you can be involved in reaching out to teachers and students with the love of Christ.

Together we can impact our community with the Gospel!

Local. Global. Eternal.

At Valley View, we believe it is the privilege and responsibility of the local church to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. The Great Commission involves evangelizing the lost and making disciples through the transformational power of Jesus Christ.

Whether we are serving a LOCAL ministry in our community or on a GLOBAL trip to share the love of Christ, we are being the hands and feet of Jesus and making an ETERNAL impact on those around us.

Volunteers from Valley View serve in various ministries including Royal Family Kids, Tuscaloosa Soup Kitchen, Operation Christmas Child and Choices Pregnancy Center. Valley View volunteers are also involved in short term mission trips to participate in construction projects, medical missions, evangelism and discipleship.

Valley View designates a portion of its annual budget to mission support. We partner with local ministries to help meet the needs of the surrounding community. We also provide financial support to several oversees missionaries to support the work of the Gospel all around the world.
